1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using English With Anjana ("EWA", "we", "us"), accessible at englishwithanjana.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

These terms apply to all users including students, visitors, quiz participants, and administrators.

2. Services Provided

EWA provides the following services:

  • English language courses — Group classes, Individual classes, Kids classes, and Diploma in English programs
  • Quiz Hub — A three-level English assessment system (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) with certificates upon completion
  • TalkMate AI — An AI-powered English conversation practice tool
  • Class recordings — Recorded lessons accessible to enrolled students
  • Certificates — Digital certificates for quiz completion and course completion

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration (name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, city).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account.
  • You must not share your login credentials with others.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information.

4. Student Approval Process

After registration, your account may be placed in a pending state until reviewed by an administrator. You will be notified via email and/or WhatsApp once your account is approved or declined. Access to certain features (class materials, recordings) is only available after approval.

5. AI Usage & Fair Use (TalkMate)

The EWA TalkMate AI is provided as an educational English practice tool powered by Google Gemini. By using it, you agree that:

  • All conversations are logged and stored for quality improvement and abuse prevention.
  • You must not enter personal information, passwords, financial details, or sensitive data into the chatbot.
  • You must not attempt to spam, overwhelm, or bypass the usage limits (30 messages per hour).
  • You must not use the AI to generate illegal, offensive, harmful, or misleading content.
  • You must not use automated scripts or bots to interact with the chat system.

We reserve the right to restrict or block access for any user found to be abusing the AI system.

6. Quiz Hub & Certificates

  • Quizzes consist of 40 questions per level. A minimum score of 35/40 (or 70%) is required to pass and earn a certificate.
  • Certificates are issued digitally and can be downloaded from your profile.
  • Each student can earn one certificate per level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced).
  • Diploma certificates are issued by administrators upon course completion.
  • Certificates are for personal use. Falsifying or misrepresenting certificate credentials is prohibited.

7. Payments & Refund Policy

Payment terms for EWA courses:

  • Course fees are communicated at the time of enrollment and may vary by class type.
  • Payments can be made as one-time payments or monthly installments, depending on the course.
  • Payment records are maintained by our administrators and visible in your profile.
  • All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing by the course administrator.

8. Acceptable Use

When using EWA services, you agree not to:

  • Interfere with or disrupt the website or servers
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from our platform
  • Upload malicious files or attempt to exploit security vulnerabilities
  • Harass, bully, or behave inappropriately toward other students or staff
  • Misuse the WhatsApp or email communication channels

9. Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Abuse the AI system or other platform features
  • Fail to make agreed-upon payments
  • Provide false or misleading registration information

Deleted accounts are initially soft-deleted (recoverable for a limited period). Permanent deletion removes all associated data irreversibly.

10. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website — including course materials, quiz questions, AI prompts, certificates, logos, and design elements — is the intellectual property of English With Anjana.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use any content without written permission.
  • Class recordings are provided for personal educational use only and must not be shared, downloaded, or redistributed.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • The TalkMate AI provides automated linguistic corrections. While we strive for accuracy, EWA is not responsible for any inaccuracies or errors in AI responses. Use the tutor as a practice tool, not a definitive authority.
  • EWA is not liable for any loss of data, service interruptions, or damages arising from the use of our platform.
  • EWA is not liable for any consequences resulting from users sharing sensitive personal information through the AI chatbot or any other platform feature.

12. Privacy

Your use of EWA is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
